On February 3, 2012 Stephen and Kathryn Hong opened Salad Republic in Irvine, California. Their restaurant is located in the University Center across from UCI. Salad Republic features gourmet salads and sandwiches in addition to Greek style yogurt. Stephen has been a long time client of Profit Line Consulting and his insight, determination, and attention to detail has made him a pleasure to work with.

Like many of you, Stephen and Katherine had a vision of owning a restaurant. Their idea was to develop an upscale quick casual restaurant that would offer gourmet salads and sandwiches. During the concept development process they decided to add an additional healthy option; Greek style yogurt with an abundance of fresh fruit toppings. In addition to the fresh fruit, you can top off your yogurt with a variety of purees, granola, and nuts. The result is a menu offering that rivals those mostly found in full service, upscale restaurants.

Stephen and Katherine have recently expanded the menu. Salad Republic now offers several entrée items for dinner that will position Salad Republic beyond what many other salad concepts have to offer. When you experience Salad Republic, you will find the level of service and cleanliness to be impeccable.

My prediction is that Salad Republic will soon be recognized as a growth concept to watch. They are definitely setting the standard.
