Set Goals and Objectives for the New Year
The start of the New Year gives all of us an opportunity to set new goals and objectives. Many of us have unmet goals and objectives from the previous year. These aren't failures on our part. Instead, think of them as works in progress. Many of the goals we set are unrealistic. Many of them cannot possibly be achieved during the course of one calendar year. Break each goal or objective into smaller pieces that can be easily managed and identified. Do this on a daily or weekly basis.
Many of you have goals that include increasing sales, reducing costs, opening a new location or just managing your time more effectively so you have some quality time to spend with the family. Each of these goals can be broken down into bite size pieces. Take them one day at a time. Each day brings a new opportunity for success.
Happy New Year!

Quick Tip
Respect
No matter how casual your restaurant is, it is disrespectful to address guests by their first names unless they ask you to do so. This is particularly true with seniors. You never lose points for being TOO polite
